HW Group WLD2 – Intelligent water protection sensor with LAN/WiFi
The HW Group WLD2 is an advanced water protection sensor designed to provide early warning against water damage. With the capability to monitor up to four independent zones, the WLD2 offers a precise and reliable solution for leakage monitoring in critical areas such as data centers, server rooms, archives, and industrial facilities.
Operation of the WLD2
The WLD2 uses special sensor cables that are laid along potentially vulnerable areas. These cables react to the presence of water or conductive liquids by detecting electrical changes. As soon as a change is detected, the WLD2 triggers an alarm to initiate immediate countermeasures.
Each of the four zones can be equipped with a sensor cable of up to 85 meters in length, which can be extended to up to 185 meters if required. This enables flexible adaptation to the specific requirements of the monitored area.
Compatibility and Connectivity Options
The WLD2 is compatible with various HW Group devices, including:
- Poseidon2 – for extended sensor integration
- Damocles2 – for remote relay control
- HWg-WLD – for advanced water protection functions
Connectivity is provided via RJ45 Ethernet or WiFi, with the WLD2 also supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE). For configuration and monitoring, the SensDesk cloud platform is available, along with SNMP and e-mail notifications.
